NHL 07

Overview

NHL 07 is a 2006 ice hockey video game in EA Sports' NHL series. The Xbox 360 version was the first in the series released on a seventh-generation console, and it was developed by EA Canada. Alexander Ovechkin is on the cover.

The game refines the series with more realistic features, including stickhandling and a wider range of control schemes. The Xbox 360 version uses analog stick control and a new physics system that removes the magnetic puck possession of earlier NHL games. Commentary comes from Gary Thorne and Bill Clement.

It supports single-player and multiplayer play. The Xbox 360 version was built by EA Canada, while EA Montreal handled the PlayStation 2, original Xbox and PC versions.

NHL 07 was released in North America on 12 September 2006, in Australasia on 21 September and in Europe on 22 September.

Reviews were generally favourable on consoles, while the PC version got average reviews. The Xbox 360 version holds 79 out of 100 on Metacritic, with individual scores from 7 out of 10 up to 9 out of 10.
