Overview
Aces of the Air is a flight combat game with vintage propeller planes, developed by Highwaystar. It first came out in Japan in 2002 as The Hikouki, volume 95 of D3 Publisher's Simple 1500 budget series, and Agetec published it in North America later that year.
Missions cover dogfights, strafing ground targets and attacking fortified positions, and each mission you complete earns a new plane with its own strengths and weaknesses. A training mode teaches the basics. It came to the Japanese PlayStation Store as a PS1 classic on August 11, 2010.
