Overview

Street Hoops is a streetball game released in 2002, developed by Black Ops Entertainment and published by Activision for PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox. It is the first AND1 game with real streetballers such as Half Man Half Amazing and Hot Sauce. You can create your own ballers and play on real courts.

World Tournament is the story mode. Your team travels across the United States to take on teams at various courts, and you unlock new and secret courts and more skilled ballers. Some things cost money to unlock, and others need you to beat the mode several times. It is a one-player mode with room for other humans on your team, but earnings and progress save only to the first player.

Lord of the Court turns that around: you are the home court and other teams come to challenge you. If you keep everybody off your turf you unlock streetball movies, secret characters and clothes.

Pick-Up Game is the exhibition mode and the game's multiplayer. You choose a full or half court game, the court and the teams, as long as you have unlocked them in World Tournament. Every player on the winning team earns 100 dollars a game.

It came out in North America on 13 August 2002 for PS2 and Xbox and in Europe on 4 October 2002, with the GameCube version on 26 November 2002. Reviews were mixed on every platform.
