Mina the Hollower

Overview

Mina the Hollower is a 2026 action-adventure game developed and published by Yacht Club Games. It released on Linux, macOS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Mina the Hollower is inspired by games developed for the Game Boy. It received critical acclaim and has sold more than 500,000 copies.

You play Mina, a mouse inventor and a Hollower, sent back to Tenebrous Isle after ten years away to restart the Spark Generators that power the island and its capital, Ossex. She starts with a choice of three weapons (a whip, twin daggers or a hammer) and finds two more later. Hollowing lets her burrow underground for a moment to dodge attacks and cross gaps. Bones raise her stats, trinkets give lasting boosts and sidearms are lost when she dies. The game keeps to the look and limits of a Game Boy Color title, in a three-quarter view like Link's Awakening DX.
