About the game
Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, shortened to PES 2015 and known as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2015 in Japan, is a football simulation game developed by PES Productions and published by Konami. It came out for Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and it is the fourteenth edition of the Pro Evolution Soccer series.
The cover features Mario Gotze of Bayern Munich, except for the Japanese version, which has Keisuke Honda of A.C. Milan. It was the first game to use the slogan The Pitch is Ours. It was followed by Pro Evolution Soccer 2016.
The PES 2015 demo became available on September 1, 2014. The playable teams were Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Napoli.
The first downloadable content pack came out on November 9, 2014, ahead of the official launch on November 13. It adds eight European teams (Slovan Bratislava, FK Partizan, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Ludogorets Razgrad, HJK Helsinki, Qarabag, Legia Warsaw and Sparta Prague), the Copa Sudamericana 2014 tournament, summer transfers, new player faces, the latest squad lineups and a set of new boots from Adidas, Nike and Puma. A second pack followed on December 15 and added four new teams and stadiums, among other updates.
PES 2015 received generally positive reviews. IGN gave it 9 out of 10 and said it embraces its PS2-era roots while offering almost everything you could want from a modern football simulation, though it criticized the presentation. Hardcore Gamer gave it 4 out of 5 and praised its flexibility, fluid gameplay and intelligent AI. The game sold 1.72 million units worldwide.
