Overview

The PS one is the small, rounded redesign of the original PlayStation, released in July 2000. It plays every PlayStation game, and for the rest of that year it outsold everything else on the shelf, the brand new PlayStation 2 included.

To get the size down Sony moved the power supply into an external adaptor and took out the serial and parallel ports, so link cable games and old cheat cartridges that plug into the back won't work. The power button doubles as the reset button. An optional 5 inch screen clips onto the back and turns it into a sort of portable you can plug into the wall or a car.
